The CallThe CallThe Call
By Sarah Adair In dedication to all parents who got this call. 2009 01 10
A normal day the same routine Coffee in the morning no time to eat The kids off the school in a grumpy mood The drive to work is long and boring Nothing special will happen this morning.
At work everything is busy and loud Going by quickly like every other day
Ten minutes left when I hear the boss say His voice trembles Call for you, line one On the line the Doctor says Its your son
Wed brought him in just last wee

A grain of sand is all it takes For everything to fall around you Just one thing after another You think give up dont bother.
Work is driving you crazy
The boss is lying off employees This stress is paying the bills Losing this job gives you chills.
The guy at school is looking at you Tiny feet are dancing on your back He asks you to take off your shirt If you dont hell treat you like dirt.
School is getting you down Your future rides

Tiny electric currents
Creeping, Spreading, Consuming.
A double beat rhythmically pounding
Thump, thump.
Thump, thump.
Falling, weakly reaching
Strong warmth surrounds the cold.
An intake of tantalizing musk
Spicy, Tangy, Sweet and Male
Scorching Blue, mystifying the deepest ocean
Burning, Holding, Smoldering
Holding my gaze,
Enveloping my bloodless hands.
| Heey, my name is Sarah, I'm 17, I'm redicously short, I have long brown hair and green eyes. I'm absolutly in love with poetry, mostly descriptive, and books. If I had the choice between th hottest new movie and a new book, I'd choose the book hands down. If you want to know more ask me. |
